Kids Conference Leaders & Helpers
Leaders needed in Preschool & Elementary to plan & direct various activity blocks related to the conference themes that are studied. Helpers needed in Preschool & Elementary to assist the leaders in the various activity blocks. Helpers needed in Nursery to care for the children attending.
Commitment Level: May 1, 2010 ~9:00AM-4:00PM plus prep time for leaders

Start and/or Lead a Life Group
Have you been a part of a life group before? Have you gained a pretty good understanding of scripture? Would you like to offer hospitality to a group of people in your home? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you may have what it takes to host or lead a group in your home. There is no better way to build community than to take initiative to build it where you are. We will help you get the training you need to get started!
Commitment Level: 6-8 hours per week includes prep time and group meeting (based on a Life Group meeting weekly)

Premarital Program Mentors (5 more)
Mentors walk beside their assigned couple to guide, challenge, and encourage discussion between the couple in the various areas of marriage. Potential mentor couples would be expected to meet with the Pastor of Marriage to explore how they might best be used. Training is provided for those mentors who enter the program. As a mentor couple you could expect to be assigned one couple a year.
Commitment Level: Meet with your couple at least four times (1-1/2 to 2 hours). IF your couple chooses to get married we ask that you meet with them two additional times during their first year of marriage.

Middle School Leaders (8 more)
Looking for leaders to invest in the lives of 7th and 8th grade students. Our goal is that they might follow Christ better. We meet 2 days a week - Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights - for about 2 hrs each. We also have special events once a month.
Commitment Level: 4 hrs per week

Camera Operator
Tech Arts Ministry is looking for folks to operate a camera during the Sunday Worship services. The recordings are used for shut-ins, training and archive purposes. We also use these recordings for special events such as Baby Dedications, Infant baptisms and Adult baptisms.
Commitment Level: One Sunday a month at either the 3 morning services or at the 6:00 service. (Times are negotiable).

Media Center
Tech Arts Ministry is looking for folks who would help fill orders and archive cassette tapes to CD's. We have 30 some years of sermon cassette tapes to be archived, weekly orders to be filled and general up keep and organization. Training is available.
Commitment Level: This is an ongoing project so commitment level is on your terms.

Sunday Worship Service Slide Operator / Formatter
Tech Arts Ministry is looking for folks to run slides for the Worship services on Sunday. You would need to arrive 45 minutes before the service starts to review slides. There is training available Tuesday or Wednesday evenings.
Commitment Level: One Sunday a month for either 3 services in the morning or one Sunday a month at the 6:00 PM service. (Times are negotiable)

Kid’s Joy Co-Coordinator for Building B (1 person needed, though 2 people can work as a team)
- Works closely with coordinator of Building A nursery
- Helps recruit and train Kid's Joy teachers and helpers for building B classes on Wednesday am
- Schedules volunteers from each Wed am Bible study to work in the classrooms once per semester
- Coordinates the Eastern student interns and volunteers
Commitment Level: Wednesday am attendance, one to two hours additionally each week.

Women’s Communications Coordinator (1 person needed, though 2 people can work as a team)
- Women's Bible Studies brochure
- Writes and/or submits announcements and inserts for the COS bulletin
- Maintains the Women's page of the COS website.
- Works with the Outreach Coordinator to design and print invitations to the invitational coffees and events
- Works with the Administrative Leadership Team Leader to update and produce the Student Guides and Leader Guides by the end of August
