“Battle for the Hearts” - A Course on Islam
COS is offering a course this fall for anyone who wants to know more about Islam. If you are interested, please come and learn more of the history and background of Islam, answers to common objections, and how to reach out to Muslims you meet and know. The course will be facilitated by a COS couple who has been working in the US as well as overseas in a Muslim context for the past couple years.

Perspectives is a 14 week course in which you learn how to use your skills and passions to glorify God in all the earth--no matter your location or vocation.

Global Outreach

From the beginning, reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ has been integral to the life of Church of the Saviour. Begun as a church plant, the church's early growth came from outreach to neighbors and friends. In 1973, the vision of reaching people broadened, as Church of the Saviour supported its first missionary couple. By the end of the following year, COS had held its first missions conference, and was supporting 12 missionaries, with a budget of $2,500.
Today we are supporting well over 60 missionaries and organizations working in over 28 countries, with a budget that approaches $750,000. 1980 saw the launch of the first COSMOS (Church of the Saviour Mission Outreach), a week-long missions conference at COS. "At this time the missions budget was established as separate from the church operating budget.
By the mid-eighties, our youth were introduced to missions via short-term mission trips. In 1987, 50 young people indicated an interest in pursuing missions as a possible career.
Our Focus
In more recent times, we have focused much of our international emphasis on reaching people who reside in the "10/40 Window" i.e. an area extending from West Africa to East Asia, 10 to 40 degrees north of the equator, where most of the Unreached People Clusters are located.

Many of the men and women we are supporting on the mission field are members of Church of the Saviour. Not surprising that the Lord has used a short-term mission trip to stimulate an interest in serving the Kingdom in this way. We have sent individuals and families from all walks of life including some doctors, professors, and other professionals.
In addition to our international missionaries, we support a number of U.S. based missionaries and organizations that bring their unique talents and abilities to spreading the gospel, i.e. cross-cultural ministries, in center city Philadelphia, etc.
