A caring Christian recognizes the abundance of love he has received and is willing to extend the same abundance to others. He shows perseverance in walking with others through their process, and is willing to get involved even with those who have extraordinary needs.
This is based on the truths in the following verses:
- It is helpful to recognize the abundance of love they have received and be willing to extend the same abundance to others. 2 Cor. 9:12-14
- Perseverance is an important characteristic in walking with others through their process. 1 Cor. 13:7, 1 Thess. 1:3, 2 Thess 3:4-5
- Sacrifice is involved in caring for those who have extraordinary needs. Gal. 6:9, Col 3:13a
